Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and Lazy Cat Media OÜ, a private limited company (osaühing) registered in Estonia (“we”, “us”). They govern your use of Lazy PA at https://lazy-pa.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

2. The beta

Lazy PA is in private beta. Access is by invitation and the service is currently free. That has consequences you should take seriously rather than skim:

• Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
• There is no uptime commitment. It runs on modest infrastructure and is maintained by one person.
• Keep your own copies of anything important. The export in Settings gives you everything in one file, and we recommend using it.
• We may end the beta, or your access to it, at any time. If we shut the service down we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data first.

If we introduce paid plans later, we will not start charging you for something you are already using without telling you first and giving you a choice.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16. You need a valid invite code to register. Keep your account secure — you are responsible for what happens under it. Tell us promptly at info@lazycat.media if you think it has been compromised. Do not share your account or transfer it to someone else.

4. The assistant can be wrong

Lazy PA uses language models to interpret what you write, answer questions about your own material, and pull out things like tasks, dates and names. It is designed to ask rather than guess, and to show you where an answer came from. It will still be wrong sometimes. It can misread a date, attach a task to the wrong person, summarise something inaccurately, or answer confidently from material that does not support the answer.

Its output is not professional advice of any kind — not legal, medical, financial, or otherwise. Check anything that matters before you act on it. You remain responsible for decisions you take, including ones you took because the assistant said so.

5. Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to everything you put into Lazy PA. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you: to store your material, process it, and transmit it to the providers listed on the sub-processor page so the features work. That permission exists for your benefit and ends when you delete the material or your account.

We do not use your content to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s, and we do not sell it.

6. Information about other people

Lazy PA lets you record details about people you deal with. When you do, you decide what to record and why, so you are the data controller for those records and we process them on your behalf. This section, together with section 3 of the Privacy Policy, forms our processing terms under Article 28 of the GDPR.

You agree that:

• You have a lawful reason to record what you record.
• You will not record special-category data — health, religion, political opinions, sexual orientation, trade-union membership, biometric or genetic data, or criminal-offence data.
• You will handle requests from those people about their own data. We will help you, and we will pass on anything that reaches us instead of acting on it ourselves.

On our side we agree that we will:

• Process those records only to provide the service to you, and on your instructions.
• Keep them confidential, secured as described in section 10 of the Privacy Policy, and accessible only to people bound by confidentiality.
• Use only the sub-processors listed publicly, and give notice on that page before adding one.
• Help you meet your own obligations, including data-subject requests and breach notices.
• Delete the records when you delete them or close your account — the export and delete controls in Settings are how you exercise return and erasure.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass, stalk or defame anyone.
• Build a covert dossier on someone, or use it for surveillance of people who would not expect it.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to upload.
• Attack the service — probing, scraping, overwhelming it, or trying to reach other users’ data. (Good-faith security research is welcome; tell us first at the address below and we will not come after you for it.)
• Resell the service or run it on someone else’s behalf as a product of your own.
• Circumvent the invite system, or use automated means to create accounts or generate load.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first.

8. Availability, warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, business, or data, or for anything arising from your reliance on the assistant’s output. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero, as the beta is free) or €100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for a consumer’s statutory rights. If you use Lazy PA as a consumer, those rights are unaffected by anything written here.

9. Ending it

You can stop at any time and delete your account from Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to, or if we discontinue the service — with reasonable notice except where a breach makes that unreasonable. Sections 5, 8 and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Estonia, and the courts of Estonia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings there. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes, and for anything material we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
